Here you will find all the practical information you need to prepare your visit to the Towers of Notre-Dame de Paris.

Opening times

REOPENING OF THE TOURS OF NOTRE-DAME ON SATURDAY 20 SEPTEMBER ON THE OCCASION OF THE 25th EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS.

From 24 September to 31 October9am- 11pm

1 November to 31 March9am- 5.30pm

Last admission to the monument one hour before closing time.

Closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Notre-Dame Towers tour may be closed on an exceptional basis.

In the event of exceptional closure, e-tickets purchased on the Centre des monuments nationaux online ticketing service are automatically refunded to the bank account that was debited. There is no need to make any claims. Please note that there will be a delay.

Conditions of access

NO TICKET SALES ON SITE / NO ENTRY WITHOUT A RESERVATION

Access to the Tours circuit is :

  • Only on presentation of an e-ticket. Reservation of a time slot is therefore compulsory, including for those entitled to free admission (18-25 year olds, ICOM card holders, Culture Card holders, Museum Pass holders, etc.).
  • Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

GROUPS ARE NOT ADMITTED

  • Group bookings are not possible, with the exception of groups accompanied by our educational service (school groups, extra-curricular groups, social and medico-social groups and groups with disabilities). Please refer to the dedicated pages. Please note that these visits will be possible from November onwards.
  • Are you with friends or planning a family outing (without a tour guide, as no speaking rights are allowed)? We welcome a maximum of 7 people = each person (adult and child) must have their own e-ticket.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO CHANGING ROOMS OR LOCKERS ON SITE.

  • Motorbike helmets
  • Drones, selfie poles, camera tripods
  • pushchairs, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards
  • Knives, scissors and sharp objects
  • Glass bottles
  • Luggage not permitted
  • Rucksacks are permitted up to a maximum size of 40x40x20cm.
  • Animals are not allowed, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs accompanying disabled card holders.
  • Smoking and/or vaping are strictly prohibited on the circuit. Alcohol is also prohibited.

For your comfort and safety, visitors in flip-flops, stiletto heels, swimming costumes and bare chests are not permitted.

Visiting conditions

Climbing to the top of the South Tower is a sporting experience. A good level of physical fitness is required.

The tour comprises :

  • 424 steps uphill, 69 metres high
  • Some passages are narrow (45 cm) and low (need to bend down)
