The new Notre Dame de Paris Towers tour

Simplified models and plans give you an insight into the architectural history of this Gothic masterpiece.

The major events in the history of Notre-Dame de Paris are presented in the form of soundscapes.

Don't be surprised to find yourself face to face with a chimera! Emblems of the medieval imagination and an architectural gesture by the famous architect Viollet-le-Duc, inspired by Victor Hugo's novel Notre-Dame de Paris, two of these creatures, weakened by the fire of 2019, have found refuge within our walls.

You continue your ascent up a double oak staircase. You'll experience an unprecedented climb through the belfry's roof structure.

You'll then be treated to an exceptional 360-degree panorama from the top of the south tower. You'll be 69 metres high ! Enjoy the views of Paris, its surroundings and the spire of the cathedral.

You are then directed to the famous bumblebees and to the courtyard of the cisterns. This offers a unique view of the great roof structure,the famous "forest" above the nave. Look up, the chimeras are watching you !

The long descent from the North Tower marks the end of the tour.

To soften this gradual return to the city, you'll be accompanied by an artistic sound experience. This was conceived as part of a partnership between the Centre des monuments nationaux and Noirlac Abbey.
